May Meeting Info

If you missed the last meeting, there were a few important announcements you should be made aware of. Please read below for details on the next meeting.

  • May meeting topic is Aurifil Thread. First 30 people in the door will receive a complimentary thread package provided by Aurifil.
  • Our first fabric swap has kicked off. Bring one yard of RED fabric (cut into Fat Eights, 9" x 21/22") to the May meeting to swap with us. (see below for more).
  • We are required to donate a quilt to the Junction City Legion in exchange for the use of their building for free for our meetings. We will have precut quilt block baggies ready to take home for people interested in helping. We have to make 20 Ohio Star blocks but will also need donations for batting, backing, and binding.

May Fabric Swap: REDS

Fabric swaps are a great way to add diversity to your stash. At the May 2nd meeting we will be swapping Fat Eighths of red fabric. If you're unsure how this works I've tried to explain it below.

  1. Cut one yard of red fabric into (8) - 9" x 21" / 22" pieces (see diagram below).
  2. Bring to the May meeting. We will swap everyones fabrics and you will go home with a totally different bundle of mixed red fabrics!
Need help cutting? Bring your uncut yard of red fabric to the May meeting. We will help you cut it!

We hope to see everyone at the next meeting! You're always welcome to join us online as well in our Facebook Group at any time.
