Group Sewing Challenges for 2024

Something New Challenge

Make one 12-inch square mini quilt that includes 1 or more techniques that are entirely new to you. 

Bring your creation to the June 6th, 2024 meeting and prepare a short 2-5 minute presentation for the club. During your presentation please cover the following topics:

What technique(s) did you feature? Were the techniques easy or hard for you to learn? Where did you find resources for your techniques? (internet, library, etc?)

Would you use the techniques again? What inspired you to use this specific technique? What fabric designer and/or manufacturer did you use?

Two-Color Challenge

Make one quilt or pillow that is no smaller than 18-inches square using only two colors. The fabric can be prints, solids, blenders, etc. but MUST be only two colors on the entire project.

Bring your creation to the November 7th, 2024 meeting and prepare a short 2-5 minute presentation for the club. During your presentation please cover the following topics:

What colors did you choose? Why did you choose this type of project? Have you ever made a two-color quilt before? Would you again?

Were you inspired by anything in particular for this project? What fabric designer and/or manufacturer did you use?
