2022 Holiday Party + Chinese Auction

Join us for our annual Holiday Party and Chinese Auction on Thursday December 1st, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the Junction City, OH American Legion.

Our party is always a blast! We play fun games where you can win prizes, there's plenty of food and deserts to snack on, and we have a HUGE Chinese Auction!! Last year alone we had around 200 items available.. all sewing related (quilting, crochet, cross stitch, etc) in the form of books, fabric, patterns, kits, and so much more!

Raffle tickets for the auction are available to purchase at the front as you walk in the door and all games are free to play. You could win some really amazing prizes!

What should I bring?

  • Pencil or pen
  • $1 or $5  bills for purchasing auction tickets
  • We will have water, but you can buy other drinks before the meeting at the Legion bar.
  • Members: Bring your Mystery Fabric Challenge project for our reveal.
  • Some sort of treat or finger food for the group (optional)
  • One yard of fabric for the swap (optional, see below!)
  • A show & tell item (optional)

Fabric Swap

Bring One (1) yard of quilt shop quality fabric inside of a brown paper bag that is folded over and stapled shut. DO NOT label the bag with your name. This is a "blind" swap, no one will know each person brings. We will then play a fun word game where the bags are passed around from person to person until we finish our story. When the story ends you may open your bag and see what fabric you got!

This is an optional part of the party, you don't have to participate, but it is always so much fun!

Other important info:

  • For purposes of bringing treats or snacks, we have roughly 30-35 members at our party.
  • We meet for 2 hours, from 6-8 pm on the first Thursday of the month.
  • New members and friends are always welcome.
  • Annual dues of $10/ per person are due in January of 2023.
  • Your first meeting is always free to come and see what we're about.
